Harrogate Round Table was delighted to receive a £1,000 grant from Harrogate Town Council to support the delivery of the annual Harrogate Stray Bonfire, one of the town’s most popular community events.
The funding was specifically allocated towards the cost of portable toilet hire, an essential element in ensuring the event could safely and comfortably accommodate the thousands of residents and visitors who attend each year.
With total event costs exceeding £16,000, the Harrogate Stray Bonfire relies on a combination of sponsorship, fundraising and grant support to remain a free community event. Expenses include safety measures, infrastructure, equipment hire, stewarding, waste management and welfare facilities. The contribution from Harrogate Town Council helped offset these costs and ensured that appropriate facilities were available for attendees.
