Originally from Hull, I have made Harrogate my home since 1990. Over the course of a 40+ year career in advertising and marketing, I held senior roles on both the agency and client sides, most recently leading international marketing for a major UK retailer’s operations in Spain and the Netherlands.
Newly retired, for the past three years I served as the Freedom of Information Officer at Harrogate District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, located just a short walk from my home in the Saints, where my wife and I have lived for 20 years.
An avid reader with a long-standing interest in both local and national politics, I also enjoy walking in the Dales and exploring new places. A lifelong language enthusiast, I’m a cheerfully imperfect speaker of French, German, Italian, and Dutch.
