Elizabeth has a background in business development and finance within large and small businesses. Having trained and qualified in Harrogate and Ripon she spent 10 years working in Corporate Finance for PwC advising management teams on acquiring their businesses and corporates seeking to dispose of non core activities. She then moved to a specialist recruitment business working with private equity houses looking for Chairmen, Chief Executives, Non Executive Directors and Finance Directors to place in businesses within their portfolios. 12 years on having led her own buy-out and follow on acquisition she retired from Corporate life and pursuing her long term interest in horticulture she developed an artisan cut flower business in Harrogate growing blooms to sell to retail customers and local florists.
Elizabeth has three children and now five grandchildren all living in Yorkshire. Her children were educated at St Aidan’s and St Peter’s Primary School in Harrogate and her son and daughter are themselves teachers in two of Yorkshire’s secondary schools.
